Our program brings essential problem solving skills to students in 4th to 12th grade, consisting of schools and individuals across the state of Connecticut. We offer a variety of components to prepare students for the future.
FPSPofCT is one of 47 affiliates of the Future Problem Solving Program International.
Pick Your Program
Students compete as part of a team, or individually, using the six step future problem solving process.
Students use the seventh step of the problem solving process – implementation – to solve real world problems in their community.
Students research one of the five competitive program topics and prepare a piece of creative writing.
Students choose the FPS annual topic that interests them as they project twenty years into the future and create a futuristic story.
Students use artistic flair to research futuristic topics and create an art project based on their thoughts and feelings on it.
Each year our topics represent important challenges from business, civics, society, science, and technology.
